About me

From surviving to living — practical guidance that works, for you and at home.

Do you experience helplessness due to stress, flashbacks, or sleepless nights? Do you carry guilt, shame, a drive for performance, or fear that you can no longer let go of? At Breinhart, you learn to understand what is happening in your head and body — and how to gradually regain calm, direction, and confidence.

My name is Mark Paasman, an expert by experience, veteran, and trauma transformation strategist. I guide people who have been under pressure for too long: military personnel, caregivers, managers, and families who are stuck due to stress, burnout, or (occupational) PTSD. Not therapy, but sober guidance that works. Practical, humane, and focused on restoring calm and control.

What makes me unique: I have developed my own method, based on what I have personally experienced — and what I saw working in practice. With this method, hundreds of families have already been sustainably helped — from surviving to living, sometimes within a few days. My work received recognition from, among others, the Inspector-General of the Armed Forces and led to a nomination for the White Carnation award. The insights from this method are described in my book and various whitepapers that are used by professionals today.

How I work: We start simply: clarifying what is happening in your head, body, and nervous system under stress or tension. You learn to understand what stress really is — what it does to you, and especially what you can do about it in simple language.

From there, we work practically on four levels:

Physical: recognizing and releasing tension through breath, posture, and recovery rhythm.

Mental: adjusting thoughts, beliefs, and focus.

Emotional: learning to feel without being overwhelmed.

Neurochemical: the influence of nutrition, sleep, and lifestyle on your mood and energy.

I also involve partners or family when needed, because recovery truly works when the home base and work rhythm align. Together, we build small, achievable steps that make a direct difference in your daily life.
