My name is Orit, and I am a Chinese medicine therapist focusing on women’s health.I offer acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments for a wide range of conditions that women experience at any stage of life. Since 2004, I've run a private clinic where I support women with compassion, precision and care.In 2007, my professional path deepened when I began working with Dr.Liora Abramov, a leading gynecologist and expert on vulvodynia in Israel. This collaboration opened my eyes to the profound suffering many women face from chronic vulvar and vaginal pain, and to how supportive Chinese medicine can be in treating it. After eight years of clinical experience and research, I wrote the first detailed article on vulvodynia ever published in the English language Chinese medicine professional literature. Over time, I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of women with vulvodynia, vaginismus, and pain during sexual intercourse. My work has been shaped by clinical practice, patient feedback, and continuous professional learning. Raising awareness about vulvodynia, and offering Chinese medicine as a supportive option, has become a central part of my mission. I do this through writing, lecturing, and since 2019, by teaching seminars to fellow Chinese medicine practitioners.I graduated in 2004 from the four-year program in Chinese medicine at Reidman International College for Complementary and Integrative Medicine in Tel Aviv. As part of my training, I completed six months of clinical internships at two hospitals in China. Over the years, I’ve continued to learn from experienced teachers in acupuncture and herbal medicine. My acupuncture approach is especially influenced by Master Tung’s method, and my herbal treatments are guided by classical texts such as the Shang Han Lun and the theories of Li Dong Yuan.In December 2018, I relocated to Amsterdam and re-established my clinic here. After completing the Dutch HBO training program, I became a registered healthcare provider with an AGB code and joined the Dutch association NVA.In 2024, I passed the practical exam at TCM Academie Nederland and received their practitioner diploma. I provide Chinese medicine treatment for unexplained vulvar and vaginal pain, including dyspareunia (painful intercourse), using acupuncture in non-intimate areas, personalized herbal formulas, and lifestyle guidance.I continue to learn, teach, and support all women - with particular focus on vulvar and vaginal complaints in a quiet, respectful space for healing.
